It *should be* very much like the #47 reissue, except in the orginal -8 (lighter blue), and have some sort of electronics on board, and several of us have asked for a wide neck. It would simply be the original slothead re-issuse that the OFC voted on, except none of us can agree on the details..... As far as the price goes, if you have to ask, you probably can't afford it :D I bet it's less then the Martin custom-shop would charge for an exact replica of a pre-war guitar. | ||

The photos of 47 reissue are actually photos of the original, hence the SB in the pics. Is this correct? God I hope the 47 reissue is sans blob. Dave | ||

Joined: January 2005 Posts: 167 Location: Waxahachie, Tx | I like the traditional bridge construction, one that actually lets the saddle sit in the Bridge pocket, and not directly on the guitar top, like current production LX's. I feel that the string energy is being utilized fully. The bridge is used to actually disperse the load more, across a larger section of the top. allowing more top (pump) action. and not just to terminate the ends of the strings. | ||
