This is the fruit of work spread out over 2005 and 2006 - my bands 5 track demo, showing what we do.

What we do is write slow and melancholy acoustic songs. We try to make them beautiful. The band is comprised of me on guitar and lead voice, and a girl on cello and back up voice. On the CD, in track 1,3+4 we are accompanied by a double bassist. In live situations, we have a larger band to the point where we are a 6 piece in "Lord Take Me Now" for the quiet hoe-down section at the end which becomes very loud and energetic live.

Well please take a listen, we hope you like it. Please share this music, put it up on the internet elsewhere just spread the word really if you like it.Reply to this just saying what you think you don't have to write a detailed critic :)

Thanks guys it's good to be back here, Joe.

Welcome back, Joe. I tried your link, but couldn't get anything. Maybe I just ran out of patience waiting for it to load, but the 2 links below your picture said "File cannot be found."

Thanks for posting your music Joe. I'm listening to it now. Sounds great so far. Nice vocal harmonies. Love the cello with the guitar, nice combination!

BTW, didn't you post this version of Hallelujah last year sometime?

From busybusybee's tagline
1985 fender telecaster
2005 standard elite lx
And that's all I'll ever need :D

Cool stuff..merging cello and guitar gives a nice mellow sound.

Haven't yet listened to Joe's material, although I intend to. However, if you like that particular combination of instruments, there's a husband & wife team out of Colorado called Acoustic Eidolon that have had some success and might interest you.

Very nice Joe. I really like the harmonies. Check out a band called Eastmountainsouth if you ever get a chance. They have similar harmonies but the cello/guirar mix is unique. I like it!

Sorry to bump, but I figured I should just put this in this thread instead of making a new one.

We played our first gig on friday and it went really well. 50 people specifically came to see us and about 300 people came overall when they heard us (it was the back room of a classy bar)

I was quite nervous, as you might ascertain from my moody look in this photo

but on the whole, we just had a wholelot of fun :p

I know the shirt tail sticking out was carefully thought out beforehand. I really like the red shoes. The band looks as good as it sounds. Hope you have many more successes.
