I would love to own the nylon string Adamas Country Artist. But it would be because it was built for Glen Campbell, and I have a ton of video from him music show in the early 80's with him playing it. It's a good guitar plugged in, but not very good unplugged. It's a stage guitar.

I speak from experience as I've played it on a number of differnt occassions. Unfortunately, none of Glen's mojo wore off on me.

My 1773LX is a much better all around nylon string --- great acoustic sound and great plugged in.

Yes, but answer the question - were you in nylons at the time?

It sounded "OK" in pantry-hose, but really opened up when I switched to stockings and garter. Dave

Thank you, Dave. You're a gentleman and, well apparently, a transvestite.

BAAAaaaaaD!!

I gave PlayAdamas a set of the Savarez 520P1's for the GC Classical Proto. We actually put them on the GC proto outside a Starbucks, so It was kind of hard to hear the nuances, but the thing was LOUD. My 1763 favors high tension strings and rings for days with these. I offered a set to Fugot in exchange for visitation rights to his Adamas Woodtop Classical.

OK Can I ask who's guitar this is?? Or ...Where is it???? I have never seen a slothead Adamas that was not original to the early ones and I have not seen one with Nylon Stings? Very interesting to me.

Also

I find It easier to picture everyone with Nylons, Garter's & Heels! That way I can laugh at the Men and fantasize about the Women at the same time! Although I have a feeling Cliff may actually look quite good like this. Now I am so confused!

BEt this one ends this thread!!!

The guitar was built for Glen Campbell in 1981. He also had a ssb Adamas steel string. They nylon string is owned by Playadamas on this board, the steel string by Bluebird, also on this board. The nylon string is in southern CA and the steel string in Canada.

I had saved the pics of this guitar and as I walked by the computer today noticed the backside of the neck as it came up on the screensaver. No, sound is not the most pressing issue with this 1713--yes, we have a break:

The dealer has removed the pics

That's a laquer crack, not in the wood. My 1764 had the same issue. Not a big thing at all.

This is a custom guitar, somebody should jump on it. It basically is the 1537 in nylon.

AH, that little medallion on the bowl, giveaway that it's an export model. That probably was the correct preamp for the guitar so when was that one introduced? There's your time line. Still a very cool guitar.
Congrats Jerome.
