When I talk to someone in his 30s or 40s about music, I don't recognize any of the artists or songs. And rick, I never thought those clothes were cool, except for when I'd go to the gym to "work out", but really just went to watch the girls in aerobics class work out. Man that lycra could do some incredible things.

I said, "I've got one of those, but mine's a lot older." One of them said, "You should have seen the blonde that got out of it." I said, "I've got one of those, too, but mine's a lot older." True story. The young blonde owner of the red 911 was Pam, one of the first big lottery winners. $83 million when she was in her early 20s.

I probably spelled her name wrong anyway. I haven't heard of her in years. She sold her car to a friend of mine and bought a newer 911. She should have a few years left on her annual payments. Maybe with the big winners of more recent years, nobody thinks she's a big deal anymore.

Even though it was doing wonders for my.... um.... evening social life ;) I hated that music ... AND it was in my formative years. True story; It just happened that I quit entertaining for a living to go into the family grocery biz 2 weeks before KC & the Sunshine Band had their first hit. 3 months later all the places I used to play got disco balls and DJs and all the guys I used to know were out of work. I'm grown up enough to be able to shout "Disco Sucks!" as I shake my booty (okay, table dance) to some of those tunes. (Though you're more likely to find jazz and classical in the cd player) I agree about punk/New Wave though. It rejuvenated my interest in playing music. {Joey (shithead) Keithley of DOA is playing near here on the 28th. Unfortunately I got a fill-in call last night for the 28th and won't be able to see him.}
