In my experience working with children, 4 years old and up, everytime we have a music sing-along session, a child or two have/had made several attempts to grab my pick and strum my guitar. That problem was remedied with a First Act guitar that I purchased from Target (I even equipped it with a strap). Since then, the child would use that guitar and jam along with me, and just have a great time with music. At the end of the day, I would spend a good amount of time trying to take out the picks that were dropped in the soundhole!

If a First Act guitar would work wonders for a 4-year old, I guess that the musical experience could be generalized to a 2-year old. Just my .02 cents.
