I signed up for a friend and myself. I can`t find anywhere on the site, what time we have to be there, on friday.
We will be driving there from New York just over the border from Ct.

I'd get to the hotel just before dinnertime. That's when lots of us start arriving and the excitement builds. Last year, Ovation (I think) sent pizzas for dinner. It's a great time to get acquainted with people so that, by the time we start jamming after dinner, you feel "plugged in" with the group. John <>{

Um... Zim (and John), if you're coming for the Tour, you're gonna want to be there a little earlier than dinner.

Last year we were supposed to be at the Factory by 7:30 am for check-in. I assume it's the same this year.

No...I think the pizza was ordered buy the soccer familys that were also staying at the hotel. It's all their fault...If they did not want us to eat them, they should have posted an armed guard.

Several of us OFC'rs also ordered a supply of pizza, and if I remember correctly Moody handled the collecting and disbursing the money part of the transaction. But then again, Cliff and I were quite deep into the Patron by that time.

A special thanks to the factory for having water fountains located throughout the facility.

I don't even remember the pizza coming in (no, I wasn't drinking)... suddenly there was a riot going on around the food island.

Ignore everything I said. I didn't notice we were talking Friday morning. Are you staying over Friday night? It would be a shame to miss all of THOSE festivities.

the soccer people provided the pizza and some of OFC guys invited themselves to the party. Then a few pizza's were ordered by OFC people. when the soccer people went to sleep they brought over their remaining pizza and gave it to us.

that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

. . . then the OFC people went to sleep, and I got stuck cleaning up the leftover pizzas . . .

The pizza crumbs led to the kitchen where I left the pizzas for the "night staff" (who, by THAT hour were halfway through their shift) the trail spilt tequila went back to my room . . .

All I did was ask what time to be at the tour on friday morning. Got all these messages about pizza.
The question still stands.

Thanks Waskel,
The only reason I asked was, I was at the door at 8:00, and the bus from the hotel didn`t show up until after 9:00. This was on the 04 tour. Didn`t make it there last year.

The first year was a little "sketchy" . . . we had some issues waking up, rounding up, and bailing people out . . . THIS year, Al's gonna have it run like a well-oiled machine . . . . a clockwork one, . . . but a "well-oiled clockwork" nonetheless . . .

Hey, as I get older I realize how important lubrication can be. I'm looking forward to spending Thur-Sun with a bunch of out of state guitar players I met in an internet chatroom!

Maybe that's where I got it wrong - I always thought it was timing, lubrication and flexible management!

Man! Talk about career screw-ups! And I was t-h-i-s close!!
