Location: Wooster, Ohio | What is a good practice amp for an electric guitar. I tend to leave my main amp at church and would like to have something I can plug my Les Paul into just to practice at home.

Location: Latitude 39.56819, Longitude -105.080066 | Sonething small under 20 watts would be plenty. If you don't care about built in effects, the Vox Pathfinder is a nice amp for about $50-75 used.
If you like the vintage Fender Champ sound but don't want to spend the big bucks, find a Kalamazoo Model II.....same circuitry for about 1/4 the price. |

Location: Utah | What are your parameters? The Roland Mini-cube is terrific for it's size and portability, but it isn't studio quality. My daughter has a Roland Cube 30 which sounds pretty good and has a number of onboard emulations and effects. Again, it's fine for goofing off but it's not studio quality. Bang for the buck is pretty good with these amps. |

Location: Wooster, Ohio | Thanks for the input. I had been looking at the Roland micro cube. But the Fender you mention has a lot of options. Comes down to whether I want to be able to use batteries and take it outside. Kind of a neat idea but I am not sure I would do it that much. Ebay has a ton of both models. Probably leaning toward a micro cube. Thanks again.

Location: closely held secret | I have a microcube. They're fun, and it's amazing how much noise you can make with a handful of AA batteries.
But... they're more fun with electrics. You have to be careful with a/e, they seem to feedback pretty easily. |

Location: Clinton ,Ct | Hey I just picked up an Epiphone Valve JR .5 watt tube amp. This thing rocks $99.00 .These are the hot item right now Clean at low volume levels but total tube crunch twisted all the way up.I have the head only and run it through two 12" celestion vintage 30's can't say enough about these amps .Vintage look great tone .Check out Harmony central.com for in depth reviews. When i picked mine up the store owner ordered acouple for himself after i laid down some ZZ top Just got paid today got me a pocket full of change.... |
