I'm hoping y'all have suggestions of gig bags which fit wider guitars. If anyone has one that fits an O Typhoon, maybe that'd work... but if anyone else owns a 335 and has a gig bag that works, I'd appreciate the suggestion. Cheers, Josh

Bought the Backaxe by mail order from first quality music. You can use it on all your guitars. I wanted to get a tribal planet bag and was told to wait till the new versions came to the US, from England, that they would be worth the wait ... But they never came and I couldn't wait any longer so went with backaxe and am happy. You can try looking for one of these. I have a "travelite" type gig bag for my les paul like OSP-1. It works pretty good. It's one of those semi hardshell deals. They have a bunch of them over at the guitar center on 14th street. Let us know what you get.

The extra money is little for the extra protection. I know how you must feel about your new baby. I have a Epiphone version and love it. All my guitars have their own hardshell case.

Using a gig bag is easier to get around. I'm in NYC too. Best place to buy a bike is at recycle a bicycle. Google them. Their inventory now is probably low, but you never know. They have a shop in Loisda and in dumbo. Happy Trails!

Thanks also for the suggestions about possible gig bags... of course I'm looking for a very very protective one. There's a fine line between loving the guitar and wanting to take perfect care of it and the realization that, at the end of the day it's still a guitar and I need to be able to use it and get around with it. I'm going to check out the 2 bags suggested - the sling and the other one whose name I'm forgetting as I write this post (but I'll go back and check). Cheers, JT

Gig bags aren't protective enough for a $2000 guitar on a bike. I realize you must get around with your guitar but buy a cheaper one for this dangerous situation. Maybe the Epiphone. I'm concerned your next post might be "My guitar was distroyed today".
