Location: Paris/France | Hi,
My friend Pascal owns an Adamas II 1681-9 with a very special carved rim.
It seems to be a rare feature because I only knows 2 Adamas with a rim like this one!!
This Adamas II was built in 1981 and was sold in Germany.
It's hard for me to explain the differences with my poor English that's why I've post some PHOTOS HERE .
1/ the carved rim design is different.
2/ the color of this rim is light brown mottled with dark brown/black.
3/ the table seems to go under the rim.
4/ there's not the small white binding between the table and the rim.
Dave "Tuppy" gave me his own opinion some days ago and maybe do you have more informations???
Thanks
Jérôme :) |

Location: 6 String Ranch | It is a moulded piece that sits up on the top and over the bowl. It was made on a Vaccuform machine. We made several like this but it proved to be very labor intensive to make and was not that very well recieved soooo we changed.
Just for fun look at the Applesause guitars of the same period and check out their construction methods. |
