Location: Townsville, Australia | I am getting very confused looking at vipers at the moment.
How exactly does the chambered mahogany work in this model. Some photos show a traditional lychrachord, but different shaped, bowl or back.
Yet the adds etc talk of this chambered mahogany and one add has a photo of this pure wood item, sans top |

Location: SoCal | Carved mahogany and painted with black bowl paint.
The EA68 top has the familiar Ovation cutaway look and shape, just scaled down to the size of an average electric guitar body.
A lyracord bowl on an EA would make an interesting animal... where did you see those photos? |

Location: SoCal | Your link points to an auction for a CV68... the more affordable cousin of the USA made EA68.
A few of the photos show the contours of the guitars back.
Trboy posted this picture last year of an EA68 that had been stripped of the textured black paint and refinished.
