Hello,
One of my friend has visited me this afternoon and he has played my WONDERFUL #47RI (thanks one more time to Al ;) )!!

He's a very good guitar player and I've recorded some samples with a poor microphone on my Korg D-4.
The real sound of this guitar is 1000 times better than this sample...
ADAMAS #47RI SOUND SAMPLE

I hope you will enjoy this tune.

J :)

Excellent!
Is that a Dadi piece?

He usually plays a nice Adamas II 1581-5 single epaulet from 1983 (This One) but also an old Folklore.
He was so impressed to play the #47 and he was simply amazed by its rich and very equilibrated sound and by its projection!!

Is that a Dadi piece?
I don't think that Marcel is the composer of this piece but he has recorded it on his 3rd LP.
This piece is called "Oh, By Jingo ! Oh, By Gee".
Marcel has played on several Slotheads custom orders.
He has done so much for fingerstyle music during the 70's and 80's and for Ovation guitars in France.

That's one of the reasons why I have wished to have a Slothead since I was a kid.
Marcel is a Master for me...

Wow.....You know it would be fun for comparison to have him do this on several of the more "lengendary" Ovations and Adamas. Use the same mics and such (which sounded very clean by the way....wish my recordings sounded that good), but have samples for the 1537, Ute and others.

Of course, then it may cost us...

Fantastic sounding instrument, recording and player.

. . . and for anyone who might want to balk about WHY this guitar "costs so much", keep in mind that even with all of the automation at the Factory, it still takes about FIFTY Man-Hours to produce ONE guitar (an average of about three a week).

As the afternoon Tour Session was winding down and FrankU was demo-ing the CNC neck-pocket/bridge skimming (I'd already seen it 3-4 times), I wandered back to the AdamasCorner where the 4-5 people there were cleaning for the end of the day/week.

When I asked them how the 47RI was going, I noticed that they all seemed to roll their eyes at the amount of work (and time) it takes to produce these, they also did so with a smile on their faces which conveyed a degree of self-satisfaction that they're involved in such a cool project.

I'm sure they'll be QUITE happy when the 75th one goes out the door . . . .

Nice instrumental paulmac. Reminds me of a Chet Atkins style composition. A lot of movement, and some variation on a theme...the recording quality wasn't bad at all.
