Location: Spokane, WA | I just picked up off the Bay, a 1976 Ovation Artist 1621-4. I couldn't pass it up, and got if for 150 bones. Even more beautiful, however, is that the guy lives in the same town as me (Spokane), so UPS doesn't get it's usual hunk of meat. Anyway, I haven't seen it yet, but the guy says it's in good shape, except for the pickup needing to be rewired. Does anyone know anything about this particular guitar? How big a deal is it to get the pickup working on one of these for someone with limited electrical skills? Thanks

Location: Boise, Idaho | A friend has one. Nice player with a decent sound, but not as big and bassy as a deep bowl. Don't know about the electronics. |

| I owned a '72 Artist. It was a mid-depth bowl Ovation with better tuners. Probably had a better grade top, but I don't remember. Everything thing else was the same as the Balladeer. |
