It was a fantastic week-end with my friends, thanks Tom (and your staff) for those moments, great to share music and lough around guitars and O's stories, pleased to meet Karl there too...!!! The custom order ? Great great sounding guitar ! It's a 12 cases cutaway with deep bowl and double large epaulets (to allow a bigger soudhole surface as a non cutaway), acoustically it seems to be a good combination (12 cases-Deep Bowl-Double epaulets), wide neck 1 7/8", they made especially a unique bone OCP-1 saddle, the walnut neck is handmade and so great (low c profile as FD14 but more flat), the color could be named "spruce like", I love to play on this guitar, it sounds warm, rich, deep, clear and loud, isn't it Karl ?

Indeed, it was a great weekend! Despite of my limited French skills (well, to be perfectly honest: I don´t speak one word) I was completely integrated in this wonderful group of guitar freaks. It was not announced as an OFC gathering but I was surprised how many members were there. You can be sure that they are veeeery kind guys!

A special thanks to Tom how was a co-organizer of this weekend. And I was very happy to meet my friend Jerome again. We both are hardcore Beatles fans and so we tried to play some of their best tunes together. It was lot of fun!

I was very impressed by Remy´s custom Dadi guitar. Due to the flat neck profile and the real wide-neck it is one of the best (if not the best) playable guitars I ever had in hands. Ditto the sound. We had a lot of great Os and As there, but to my ears it was the best sounding one. Congrats to that guitar, Remy!

Last but not least thanks to Edouard whom I also can call a friend now. We had some good conversations and he gave me interesting insights into the French soul.

Karl,
It was nice to meet you here !
Edouard, who is sitting near you, is playing a very fine SSB cutaway Adamas belonging to Patrick Wagner, president of Guitar Pickers Association. This one has a low C profile, wide neck very close to Remy's guitar, which is a fantastic custom order too, one of the best and very confortable neck i ever played (not speaking of Remy's custom neck settings ...).
All the best

Looks like a great time - fun on the eastern edge of France while I was on the western edge. Never in the right place at the right time - the week before i was in the same part of France that Jerome was in 10 days earlier.
One day......

I'd like to know a little more about the violet/blue burst guitar held by Pascal. Never seen one in that color before.

I don't have a lot of information about that nice Adamas and I'll ask to Joël for the complete story.

I've had a kind reply from Joël so here's the story of the "purple":

That guitar was ordered in 2000 and his first wish was to get an Adamas in purple with a Folklore neck so the Factory has done the job.
Unfortunately, 2 month after, the fretboard was lifting and the guitar was impossible to keep in tune... :(
After 2 trips from France to the Factory, they finally decided to put an Adamas I wide Neck with an ebony fretboard.
Joël sent me some pics of him with the first version that instrument equiped with the Folklore neck.

I hope that my translation of Joël's words is good enough to understand the story. ;)

I've had the pleasure to play that guitar and it's a very good one!! If only I had enough money when he sold it some years ago... :D

J :)

I received my CD of Bryon today and I can not say enough good things about it...what a fantastic collection of original fingerstyle guitar...so soulful and soothing...and the fact that he was only 15 when this was recorded in 2005...I can only imagine how he has progressed in the last three years...Thanks so much Jerome! It will be in the rotation of my cd changer on my vacation coming up next week.
