Well, we finally did it.

3/4 of the active OzOFC, Aussie James, Muzza and 'The Artist' got together and strummed some chords. We're calling it 'unofficial' as the main reason for the get together was for the RiverFire fireworks. Richard and I had an antisocial jam in the spare room and it was just loud enough to scare off the remainder of Jim's guests so we could have Jim to ourselves.

Took a lot of photos of the fireworks, but not many of the OzOFC. Luckily, I asked Deb to snap a few.

More photos of the evening are on my OFC social page. (Please leave some feedback and tell me which is your favourite photo. I'm new at this. I've never photographed fireworks before.)

The view from Jim's apartment.

10 seconds before the F1-11 'flypast'. (8 second exposure)

The 'Flypast'. The settings on the camera are identical to the shot above, but 1 second less exposure. Wow!
That sucker flew right over our heads.

Notice the matching fireworks on the city buildings?

Look at that view!

Muzza, (2005ES collectors) Richard (Jim's Adamas II) Jim (Original slothead)
Note the 'Angle of the Dangle' on the slothead. :D

Next day Last day of Winter! (Jim's apartment can be seen just above his right shoulder)

If you're wondering why I'm looking so smug, it's coz I've got one of Jim's UKII's in my trunk. :D

Yes, he knows.

Great pics of what looks like a great time!
It put a smile on my face to see #45 making friends. It was a social outcast for such a long time.

A great time was had by all. If I look confused in the photos its because I was trying to follow Muzz, only to learn that he plays a D chord with his first finger on the E string and second finger on the G string, rather than the other way around. Watching the fingers I was thinking "What the heck is he playing there?".

Great pics Muzz. Wish I could've been there. And it looks like you really spruced yourself up for the night. What's AJ got that I haven't....apart from a million dollar view and a mouth watering guitar collection :D

A lot of people say that to me. I've tried to train myself to play 'D' normally, but I always revert.

It was the first chord I ever learned. My uncle showed me and I'm stuck with it. Comes in handy for certain songs, screws me on others.

We doin' this again next year, AJ? I might bring the UKII back. :D
