Location: Tidal Mudflats of Virginia | It's funny that the last negative feedback was from the same person that had the last transaction from him and left a positive feedback.
I read the negatives and see what transpired more than worrying what a persons overall rating is. I normally establish email correspindence for high dollar items before I commit to the transaction.

The only negative fedback I have received is by sellers who I have left negative feedback for. I find it amazing how someone can obviously try to screw you over and THEN expect you just take it without saying anything. Anyway ... to answer your question (like Tim said), you really need to read the actual feedbacks from the buyer AND seller. |

For the big money issues its good to connect via phone and ask a few of th=ose questions.
I have a Nuetral feedback because of a Newbie that was afraid to ask a question. |

If the seller's feedback doesn't look good, I pass on the item even if I really, really want it. I don't think I'm clever enough to detect a problem seller via email or phone. If the feedback is OK and the item is expensive, I'll send an email or two just to make sure the seller is responsive.
Again, I don't know anything about the guitar or the seller. Good luck to the winning bidder.

Location: SoCal | What it is worth? May not be considered the favorite color of some but with the 47RI, red is the "in" color this year.
C'mon...assuming that the guitar was in the condition the seller said in an email, the guitar was well worth close to (or over)$2K. Some might discount it because it doesn't have the two-knobber pre-amp but there are others that would prefer the newer pre-amp.
Whoever bought it got a great deal.
Unfortunately, I had to let my bid stand as I had to leave about 1/2 hour before it closed. |

| This was a good price. Sure wish when I was in the market for an Adamas 1 I found this one. I really am becoming partial to that red. I think it was the shallow body Adamas Stephen28 had up for sale a while back the more I looked at it the more I had to have it!!

As to Paul's comments, the problem with the first auction is that I had no commitment to pay fair dollar...heck, I have four 1687's now (two are on short-term loan)...maybe good that I wasn't at the end, might have bid more that I planned :rolleyes: |
