Location: south east Michigan | I've played around with the VIP on the Tour and at my local music store.
I'm spoiled.
Whenever the VIPs become available for retro-fit I'll have at least one of my guitars converted. It takes a different "can" so it's a job for the mothership to handle.
To be honest I don't notice a real big difference between the 5 microphone settings they have, but where this thing really shines is the ability to dial in an infinate piezo / microphone ratio. That is where the VIP really earns it's pay. IMHO...of course.
.
Sidebar----- Ovation has a nice wall display background for the '06 Koa VIP combination. And damnit if every time I go in there, it's a blasted Taylor that is hanging on the Ovation display. I correct it...come back a week later.... same thing.
Please...I don't want to start a discussion about marketing...I just needed to get that off my chest. |

Location: Canton (Detroit), MI | Brad, I won't start a discussion about marketing. But I've been to Huber and Breese only TWICE and that was enough for me to figure out they LOVE Taylors and (just barely) TOLERATE Ovations. So I'm not surprised!!!!

Location: SoCal | Brad, in that video you sent me a year ago (Folkin' Friday), the manager of H&B really didn't seem to know squat about Ovations. Why would he care about a display?
He also got the middle riff wrong on Ticket To Ride..... |
