Location: Central Illinois | Hi, I'm a fairly new member and haven't posted much. Since I joined, I've Been busy with family and gigging. I've been a Ovation fan since I bought my Elite back in '90. It still gets played for hot humid gigs like the one below and campfire sing-alongs.
This was recorded live at the Bloomington (IL) Farmer's Market on Sat morning of June 24th. Me with Brian Stear on Harmonica. I hope you enjoy it.
If I Were A Carpenter MP3, 8 Meg
Other than my sloppy playing and sub-standard vocals (I'm not a singer, can you tell?), I think it came out OK. I love jammin with this harmonica player!
Recording via RCA Tape out from PA into a iRiver iFP 895 MP3 player I got for $49 off eBay. Played my Elite through a Boss AD-8. Pretty pleased with the sound.

Tom: that's my friend Brian Stear on harmonica. Sorry, I don't understand the "June" comment.

Location: Illinois | That would be June Carter Cash. It was one of the songs she recorded, which I dearly love. She changed the lyrics to suit a woman singer. I think she may have sung it with her husband John. June and her sisters, along with their mother, Maybelle Carter, were a very popular country / gospel / folk singing group formed after June's cousin Sarah and her husband A.P. Carter split up after a very successful run in the 20's and 30's. June wrote, and her, then, future husband Johnny Cash sang 'I Walk The Line'.
Suffice it to say, you're in good company by me. :D |

Good job! |

Thanks everyone for the nice comments. |
