It is an indisputable historical fact that when the Thetans arrived on Earth they came looking for a good bass player. Due to a misunderstanding with the Neanderthals they came into contact with (who were deeply impressed by both interstellar travel and the incandescent GTO stripes on the side of the spaceship) the Thetans left without a bass player after the Neanderthals had the Thetan point man for breakfast. In the rush to leave Southern Germany the Thetans left behind a guitar that represented 100,000 years of the guitar maker's art together with a note that said "You Sickos Ate One Thetan too many."

Charlie found the guitar and the note - the reissue is the U681T. It is in fact the oldest reissue ever.

The neanderthals wandered down the dirt road of history and became Scientologists (but unlike Charlie they got tax-free status. Who's the no-brain now?)

If only it had a cutaway.

Cliff it's always good to deal with open-minded people.

Due to various social engagements I've drunk so much Guinness and wine tonight that my mind is open enough to drive a Mk V Abrams tank thru.

Doncha luv my Yankee spelling?

The danger is that you'll see Master Templeman in a whole new light. You think of him as a suave, sophisticated Cary Grant kind of guy, but catch him in his natural environment and YOU WILL BE SHOCKED.

I can say no more.

He's already spent a couple o'nights in my house, and I've spent considerable time with him in a small vehicle . . . Cary Grant, he ain't! . . .
(tho on several occasions, I've felt that it may have been possible that he'd EATEN Cary Grant . . .)

I always thought we missed the boat (literally) by missing the OFC Cruise - ok, so technically it was just Cliff's 50th birthday but let's not split hairs here - but getting a crew together for a UKOFC Tour? There's a bit of unchartered territory here to be explored, that's for sure!

(And let's be careful with that acronym, all...)

I'm working on that. I've custom ordered one. The factory still hasn't decided if they are gonna put a contour bowl or a mid-depth bowl. I hear they have started production on my guitar and are working on developing the bracing for the 12-fret cutaway contour. My understanding is that if they can develop the bracing/attachments by the time they are ready to put the bowl on, it will be a contour. If not, they will proceed with the mid bowl. (Correct me if I'm wrong, Gregory).

It may come out to be *just* a 12 fret cutaway mid bowl UTE.

I guess I can live with that. :D :D :D

The Ute doesn't need a cut-a-way. The Thetans understood relativity. As you play the neck more quickly (think ADM), the mass of your hand increases to allow stretches for fret access.

Now there's an idea for a T-Shirt. French Connection have had a hugely succesful, not to mention controversial fashion range branded over here as FCUK. We could get some T-shirts made with an OFCUK logo. Or not.
