Location: Virginia | I replaced the pickguard on my viper, and found out it was routed for three pickups. I'm sure it was stock when I got it. It is a later model with the upgraded bridge, so maybe they just started routing them all that way?

Location: closely held secret | Probably cheaper to route them all the same.
Very pretty Viper, by the way! |

Location: Upper Left USA | Very nice plank! Nice alternate PG as well.
W2 has alluded to the assembly of various parts towards the end. If the order was to make more 2 Pup guitars they would use what they had.
You could throw the 3rd Pup in anytime. |

Location: Virginia | I originally purchased that PG for my Nutmeg Viper I am selling. It just looked better on the natural finish. You can see it in this photo.

Location: Upper Left USA | For pickguards. The MOP is wild but I prefer the wood tones.

Location: GA USA | Gary, did you switch necks on the Vipers as well, or do you have more than 2? Very pretty. |

Location: Virginia | I did switch necks. I wanted a maple, but I really liked the natural body. Both necks were in great shape, with the ebony having the least amount of fretware. The maple neck is still in excellent condition, I just need to dress them a little.
I'm selling a few since I got that custom Holdsworh Fatboy in the front. Both vipers play almost identicle, so decided to sell one. |

Location: Virginia | I got the Carved Top last year, it's incredible. I got the Fatboy last week, and I was worried about the 20" radius neck, but I'd have it on ALL my guitars if possible.
Oh, and the stainless steel frets? They make the smoothest bends you've ever made.
The Fatboy is really hollow, and with no "F" holes you get that smooth jazz sound and none of the feedback.
I said this on the Carvin Forum...my Favorite Carvin is my NEXT ONE :-) |
