Although the prior close up of the two guitars seems to show a different texture. I do like that neck though, and as deep as the 2080 is stock, I can't image it with a 12 fret....WOW. That guitar has crossed the combination between new tech/old tech better than any instrument I have seen. Might have deleted the fret markers, but other than that, it is a spectacular guitar. I do like the 2080 texture as it doesn't show fingerprints and such, easy maintenence. The "Cats eye" thing is growing on me after a few months too although I still don't like the Nike swoosh. Thinking about using a sharpie to color it black. On the electronics problem. John B was fantastic in helping me on my VIP problem. We ultimately ended up swapping out the entire package from plugs to VIP. It took maybe 10 minutes to do it and he shipped it all to me USPS express (2 days). Customer Service at Ovation is FANTASTIC. I really need to send in my 1537 for refurb, but am afraid of shipping it after the debacle with my W597.

The guitar has more treble than the files suggest but they give a hint at the depth of sound that this thing generates. :) :D Now I just gotta learn how to play better! Recording 1 Recording 2

The looks are growing on me (like a fungus?) The only down side is that I waited 4 months, and when it finally got here... um, that's not right...!!???

I'd ask the dealer to make good on a VIP (is that what you ordered?) and call it a deal. If they can't do that, I'd call it a deal anyway. I'm sure after seeing yours, a few members have already placed orders for similar guitars. Dave

I couldn't get used to "the look" . . . After playing Al's (now JohnB's - it sounded GREAT at your gig, btw John! ;-) and Bill's 2080LongNeck last weekend, I've since "seen the light" . . . These guitars stonk! KeepIt.

Momma-bear sent me a replacement ASAP, but unfortunately, they sent me an OpPro instead of a studio. Two days later I had a replacement studio. Now all is well in Zion. Somebody's gonna have to come listen to this thing. I don't know if I'm biased. I need 3rd party confirmation!

Local earthquakes and disruptions in local air travael from sonic booms linked to not one, but TWO 12 fret texured topped Adamsas guitars being played simulaniously in the Southern California area. BTW, I have a fresh set of Savarez 1610MF Argentines going on the U681T for the weekend, or I could give you a set of 1818's, but then we'd bring down planes over the rockies....

I imagine your first set is starting to get a litte "weird to tune" by now. I typicaly get about 20 hours of play out of a set of strings. Having more than one guitar to play is the only reason I don't change strings weekly. Although I still change strings twice as often on the U681T as the next closest competitor (Noah's FD-14). You've had it 12 days already. Those strings should be frayed by now... So... I see you're bringing it with you... :D :p :D :p
