| I love the "blingy" look of the custom legends; however, I don't think I've seen a new one in a store since the lxs were introduced. Has the custom legend, and for that matter the custom elite, become special orders? If not, why don't I see them in stores? |

Location: Chehalis, Washington | I don't know production numbers, but I think that Ovation is having a bit more trouble marketing its mid-range guitars (CL, CE) than in the past. People who know Ovations (like us) buy them, but your standard box stores don't pick them up very often. Not necessarily a "custom" order, but maybe more of a "special" order.
I do see CE's like the 2078LX around a bit, but again, way more standard Balladeers and Elite T's than anything else. |

Location: Texas | The Custom Legend and Elite are production guitars...just not many places ordering them. Tha whole Ovation Marketing or lack there of thing...We stock a couple of Custom Legends and an Elite. Nice guitar and compared to the Taylors on the wall, they not only sound better but look better! AS for VALUE, the NON-Custom Legend/Elite are every bit as nice of guitars, with out the bling, for less money! |
