The offset soundholes are tricky. How do you guys take care of it? Should this be done in case only or is there something for the whole room?

I do the same thing using old prescription bottles, most of the time here in FL too little humidity is rarely the problem, except for 3 or 4 weeks out of the year when we actually have to turn on the heat. just about there now.. I just use a room humidifier in the basement, where I hang the guitars.

I have just had to turn-on my electric heat, here in the Great Northwest, so I am concerned for my Korean O. E-heat dries MY skin out. So it probably ain't good for the acoustic. The soap in the case sounds good, and affordable. Wouldn't that possibly cause the carpet in my OHSC to mildew? Hate to damage my new toy. But no furry wildlife either. All advice appreciated...

You soak it in water and the clay inside soaks up water. Shake off the excess water and put it in the accessory compartment in the case. I add water about every month or two. Cost $3.50 from ZZounds and the friend.

For my one and only O that has a center sound hole, I use the one that suspends in between the 3rd and 4th strings by Planet Waves. It comes with a syringe where I can refill it with distilled water on a regular basis. http://img3.musiciansfriend.com/dbase/pics/products/9/3/9/370939.jp...
