In the last 8 hours I have received 3 second chance offers on an item that that won yesterday and paid for and accepted delivery today (local deal).
The 2nd chance offers look perfect in every way except they seemed to have deleted from the page thw winning bid and bidder (ME!!).
Anyway....everyone be careful cause things are getting pretty bad. |

That's why I check my eBay messages before believing...and soon, the crooks may be able to break into eBay. |

These emails look very realistic. There's even a link to report bogus emails, which takes you to another realistic web page which asks you to log on.
That was what made me suspicious when I got one of these 2nd chance offers. I typed in my details before remembering that my computer should remember my login each time - if it's the legit website. So I shut down Firefox, opened it again, went to 'my ebay' the normal way and changed my password.
Report these emails to eBay - even if you're not sure. They confirmed my suspicions within a few hours. |

Since I posted the original message last night, I have received 16 more 2nd chance offers on the same item. I have grown tired of forwarding them to the spoof department at ebay. |

Location: Michigan | Be carefull on second chance offers, I also recieved 4 of them one night and I clicked on one just to see what the item was and then deleted all of them . I had my E-Bay account breached two days later. E-Bay did send me a message that my password had been shut down because someone had gained access to my account. They sent me an apology about what had happened and guaranteed that no personal info was accessed just my account password so I think they had a major security breech a few weeks ago.
I have sent E-Bay a few suspicious E-Mails that I have recieved and if it is not in YOUR E-BAY MESSAGE BOX , not your normal E-Mail then report it for it is fake. These skammers are very good at duplicating the E-Bay logos and colors. GWB |
