My 17 yr old daughter says "He's NOT my boyfriend!" but a dad knows better than to believe that. He's 18, and plays guitar in a band. The band even has a MySpace promotion site.

Arghh! This is about the worst news ever! My baby is dating a musician.

(was this the right place to vent about this personal disaster?)

So.....what does he do for gainful employment. Or better yet, show her some of the "girlfriend/wives" of successful guitar players.

Ouch....man do I feel for you.

That must be how my in-laws felt.

He works in the mall, which is where my daughter works and where she met him.

The only saving grace is that he loves the other daughter's Elite T. At least he has good taste.

My youngest daughter married a bass player, the only question I asked was do you have your own PA. :D
But to be honest he is a good man and he loves my little girl and that's what counts the most.
During the father daughter dance I told her that when she was a baby we had tattooed on her butt NO REFUND NO RETURN

I'm with Al. My oldest has had 2 serious boyfriends and both were drummers. As far as I know, neither could sing either, so they had no redeeming musical qualities. I think the only thing worse would be a drummer/rapper, but as far as I know, rappers can't even play drums.
I just hope by now she's driven and independent.

I love your Elite-T... I never heard anyone using that line, that's a good one. Even sounds like a new Ovation ad campaign in the works.

Yes, good idea, Miles...it could be along the lines of the old "You Wouldn't Want To Part With Your's Either" '50's Fender ad campaign; :)
