Location: ranson,wva | is there any way to quick fix a stripped screw hole for the screws that hold the machines to the headstock. i sold one of my guitars and the guy who bought it is coming to get it today and when i was changing the strings i noticed that the low E string machine was loose as hell, i tried to tighten the screw but its stripped..any tips or tricks?? thanks jason |

Location: South of most, North of few | Jason, take a wooden match stick and whittle off just a small sliver to fit in the hole. Push it in with a small punch or pin. (you could add a small amount of elmers glue also) Then just reinsert the screw, and the compressiion of the eatra wood should allow you to tighten the screw. Don't over tighten! |
