I expect to be challenged around some really good musicians. That's a good thing. Makes ya better. Friday is open mic night at Huber-Breese Music Store. If BrianT shows up we'll play a few songs. If not, I'll just enjoy the show and do a little networking. Now it gets interesting. Mrs. Slipkid to going to "Scrapbooking Camp" for the weekend. And about 3 weeks ago the last two kids living at home went to Florida to work. That just leaves me and Sophie the Wonderdog at home. Now add that BrianT let me borrow his mixer / recording computer hardware. I plan on spending all day saturday recording and learning how to work the program. Now I love my wife dearly and I really miss seeing my kids but this is an opportunity not to be missed. Now Sophie tends to bark alot but I can solve that with a half a valium stuck in the middle of a marshmellow. (I'M KIDDING!!) Any locals who want to drive up to Algonac for a few hours on Saturday are welcome.

I only get up there a couple times a year and don't hit the bars when I do. Last year was a great snow year and we didn't go much. First year with no kids. This year is supposed to be dry. You're welcome any time.

Isn't there a ski field called 'Schwartzer' or something like that? It was in the late '80s.

I was working in Canada (Banff) at the time and a bunch of us went down for a long weekend. I remember enjoying the 'out of bounds' skiing with some locals. You Yanks have it so good with doorstep (relatively) skiing and those really cheap USA Ovations on offer.

We have a small ski hill just north of town and 2 more within about 15 miles of our cabin. Small by our standards is about 1700 feet of vertical. The cabin is also about a block from a huge state park with miles of cross-country ski trails. Not much need for me to go anywhere else.
