I was a little worried as the seller had shipped it in the case with just some Priority Mail tape spiraled around it. My wife was holding her breath as we spotted what looked like heat effects on the back of the case, but all is good. Defintely has been back to the factory for a re-do as it is a genuine Optima preamp in there and a 1/4" and XLR in the back. I will get a note into John B and see if he can chase any provenance up on her factory visit. Serial #233 of 2,637 The finish all over is spotless. You'd swear this thing had just popped out the factory box. Once I get her cleaned up and some fresh strings on I will get some photo's up. I have to say one of the best bargains I have ever had off "the bay". $471 inc S&H

In the meantime, no harm no foul. Have a look at this beauty. I am just annoyed they are not in natural light as the top is awesome. Will try to replace over the next few days and add to the gallery. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Don't tell the wife but I couldn't resist the 1994 I saw the other day so it is heading my way too. I did sign a great deal with AIG that year, maybe that's a good excuse. Maybe I will have to have an exception for the venerable '87 that so many here love?

I could also go for 85 - college graduation, 2006 - MBA. I need an excuse for the 84 - oh yeah... the year I SHOULD have graduated from college.
