Location: Marlton, NJ | I guess the more you play the better the odds of this happening - I accidently knocked over the music stand which proceeded to fall into my Takamine and leave a nice little ding. This one was in absolute mint condition until now.
There's a good case for wall hangers (which is where #47 resides at this point). |

Location: GA USA | When I take the Balladeer to play at church, I always hand it to one of the youngsters to play, and they love it. I usually say something like "keep in mind there's no pickguard..."
One of the teenagers played it with the youth band a few weeks ago and he was hacking at it way too hard. I've got pick lines on it, but I know that everyone is enjoying it, so it's okay. They're not all that noticeable with the satin finish. |

My son and I could have a lot of fun with a trebuchet. He's a bit of a midieval history nut.

Soon after I got my bike (Victory Classic Cruiser) in '02 I dropped it off a trailer. Served two purposes. The first was that I made a good purchase of the well built bike cause the only thing that got dinged was a $25.00 mirror. If this was my old Kaw, or a BMW we'd be talking $400+ plus in damage to body parts easy.... been there, done that. The other good thing was getting that first ding over with, it was a lot easier to relax while riding.
On another note (pun intended), my Medallion that ya'll are tired of hearing about, didn't get it's first official "ding" until the late 90's. It went 20 years on beaches, planes, boats, gigs, etc... and all it suffered was play wear. Then, one evening at a rehearsal, a mic stand went over and put a nice scrape down the top. Oh Well, life happens. |
