Anyone on here from The Springs? I am moving back after 15 years and am curious about the live music scene there. Would be playing my Magnum bass. Any help would be appreciated!

If I remember correctly, that shop downtown is/was called the FolkLore Center. They had some very nice guitars and did good luthier work. |

I was in there only three weeks ago. Martin, Larivee, a few Ovations, lots of others, all price ranges, everything on the wall out in the open and within reach to the visitor, with guitar bodies in vices on work benches in the back also within clear view of the public. There's a coffee shop nearby, so plan a few hours. |

Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado | Yeah. Back in the "old" days, before I moved, they did all my repair work and even helped me find some of, what is now, my meager collection. I have a couple of guitars that are dying for a refinish, so when I finally get established there, I will have them look the jobs over.

Location: Tennessee | I was in Colorado Springs the end of last week. I didn't get to do the music scene, but I got to eat dinner in an old KC-97 tanker and then spent Friday inside the bowels of Cheyenne Mountain. |

Location: Boise, Idaho | So how about starting to plan an OFC get together for Keystone on July 4? I'll be there, probably leaving on the 5th, but I might be able to get us some sort of a facility, since the Porsche Club will be finishing it's annual party on the 4th. |

Location: Colorado Rocky Mountains | I remember eating some box lunches in a C-97 4-prop transport plane back in the 60's and early 70's when I was in the National Guard. We sat in slings fastened to the fuselage ribs. No such thing as safety belts back then. Noisy, dirty, smelly, sparse, uncomfortable, hot, slow, windy, and I loved every minute of it. |

Location: Tennessee | Same plane Brad, just configured for tanker use. We ate dinner in the fuselage portion. The plane is completely intact, they built the restaurant building around the plane. The plane is actually a Texas National Guard logo'd plane in addition to the USAF markings. The cockpit is completely original and very well preserved and open for you to go sit in. There is also a ton of USAF memorabilia throughout the restaurant. If you ever make that short drive down to the springs, the place is called Solo's. It is definitely worth checking out and will bring back memories. |

Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado | There used to be another aircraft restaurant in Denver. We flew up and had dinner there a couple of times. Think it was at R.M. Metro, in Broomfield.

Location: Colorado Rocky Mountains | There used to be one along a road that ran parallel to the east-west runway at Stapleton during the pre-DIA days. I ate there a few times, but can't remember the name of the place. It may have been swallowed up in the post-Stapleton Airport development. |
