Next day they said 16 inches, and we got 28. Then just a coupla more inches everyday. It was January, so we already had five or six feet lying around. Everything closed, armed National Guard troops guarding the banks and stuff. No work for a week, unless you could walk to work. But it was Boston! Bars and liquor stores were open. No work. People just standing around in the snow, drinking beer and watching the show. So... Enjoy the Show.

My work has been taking me almost weekly for 1-2 days to Salt Lake City. Very nice place, but cold as hell. Took some clients to dinner at a place called the Steak Pit, located at Snowbird ski resort. They had 115 inches of natural snow. From a recreational point of view (I snowboard a little) I can see the attraction. At the same time, getting back on the plane and flying south over the canyon to the dry warm desert also has it's appeal. Dave

Everyday has been above freezing since Thanksgiving. It's good 'cause the fuel bill is lower than normal. Our magnolia looks like it wants to bloom! I guess winter went to Denver and stayed.

Prefer that to the 4 days of constant rain we got over in Portland, except that now the smog is rolling in. I hope to have some snow to throw at Miami's football team on Sunday. Sounds like a lot of those guys haven't seen snow before. A little snow on the blue turf would really confuse them.
