Adamas guitars are shipped with D'Addario strings rather than Adamas strings? Just curious.... Over the years I have really come to love the sound/feel/life of the 1919's...

That must be the way it is now. In the middle 90's we closed the string factory and switched to D'Ad. They were making the Adamas strings. Don't know why they've gone to this now. Are the Adamas strings still on the market?

As a BTW, I just bought some Addamas strings in Mars Music. There was a technician/sales type there restringing a Melissa Etheridge and he corrected me to say Add-a-miss rather than Uh-da-mus. Were you having a little fun there CWKII, awhile back when I inquired about pronunciation?

Adamas strings are definitely still on the market. The local store here (Rosevear's in Aberdeen) stocks 1616's 1818's and 1919's. I kinda figured D'add was making the strings now since I read cwk's post that John D. had bought the string equipment. The D's are good strings, but I like the feel of the 1919's . It's probly all in my head.....
