The feel is that of an electric. So you suddenly have "big hands". The "new" OP-40 preamp is the state of the art. I'm pissed that Ovation hasn't spent the $$$ telling the world about the preamp. Hell it's like a secret. The looks are, well let's just say others will tell you it's nice. A coment I've got is the fact that you can "feel" the vibration of the guitar from the back... I feel I have the best Ovation has put out in years... I'd like to hear what some of the other board members have to say. I think this guitar is a secret. Maybe 650 made... Woz On 4-24-02 My question, When will the final count on the 2002 AC be available? Tim Campbell Customer Service Manager at Ovation wrote "We're at 610 now. That should be about it." Then there was always that last order and since the line was still running and the parts were in stock and , and ,and so the numbers grew sometimes. They usually stop around mid year so we're close ( gives the factory time to finish the orders and ship and the dealers a few months to move them in the same calendar year, a novel concept)

Then 9/11 and the dealer orders for the 02' came in "slow" or not as "robust" as years past. Ovation "sales dept" has had little to promote the OP-40. A web update is to be out soon. That was over a month ago. I asked if Ovation had any sales lit on the guitar... None. The box stores (3-Guitar Centers 2-Mars) have Nothing on Ovations. (IE. one store copy ) I did pick up a great promotional piece from 1997 from a small shop in Providence. I'd venture to say that most of the members of this Board have seen nothing more then (page 6-7)in the price book. I have a great "toy". It's a secret. Don't tell anyone. Woz (AKA Sales Guy)
