Location: SoCal | Out of my three main acoustic guitars, an Adamas 12, an Elite, and a Country Artist, only the CA has a cutaway. I find that I pick that guitar up a lot just because it does allow me to get up above 14 frets (not that I know what to do with those notes when I find them). If you've never had a cutaway, you never think to go up there. Once you've been there, you'll never go back (kinda like sex?). I was the same way with electronics. When I bought my old Legend in 1979, I got it without electronics. I'd never need them. 23 years later, it's one of my few guitars that can't be plugged in, and I suspect that I will remedy that before the year is out. |
