How do I find out the model of a guitar I might purchase? It has a 6 digit code of 323130. It is a 6 string acustic electric, stereo and mono amp jacks, deep cut away, shallow body, dimond and dot inlay, volume and treble knob. I have found out that it was made in 1985/1986 but cannot determine the model/value of the guitar.

Help!

Sounds like a legend super shallow bowl, model 1867. But I don't remember them having stereo electronics. Can you post or email a picture?

Anybody else?

Just got on this site and I'm not really sure how to post a picture. I can get my digital and send an E-mail picture but need your address and not sure how to get that. I'll look around and try to figure it out. Oh yeah, the string tightening knobs are gold colored.

It's in really good shape and has a hard case and the guy wants $300.00. It's for my 16 year old who is a drummer first, since he was 7 and started guitar 2 years ago. I've been playing for 25 years and he already plays better than me. He also plays for 2-3 hrs a day, I have to work unfourtunatly. He has a musical gift. He's been taking my guitar to gigs and friends parties and I don't want him scratching it up

This could be any model since you could custom order stereo electronics. If it is a production model, im sure this is a custom legend, adamas II or a nylon string classical model..Those were the only models offering stereo and shallow bowl cutaway..There were a few more models that had stereo but they were deep bowl non cutaway(legend limited, elite limited)...There may have been for a short run a custom balladeer(super shallow, cutaway) with stereo electronics as well...

Guys:
Bob just sent me pics and it's a super shallow bowl legend from about 1983 (based upon the stacked tone/volume control). But it is a stereo. Never seen on like that before, but as Sam said, it could either be special ordered, or just something that Ovation put out.

Paul, is it a bound neck on that guitar?

Yup. It's a Legend, no doubt.

Sam, regarding your lefty 12 string, I've got a buddy who bought one identical to yours except it had a black face. Wonderful guitar. And your price is right on the (if you will excuse the expression) money.
