When I plug in my ovation,
the bass of the E-string sounds very heavy,
compered to the A and D-string.
Does anyone have this problem also or is it supposed to be like this.
I didn't play a lot when i'm pluged in.

My guitar is 1996-TPB model with a High-Z Pickup.
I don't know what a High-Z Pickup means,
but that is what I've seen in the information.
Do you perhaps know what it means?

If your guitar has the original wide Ovation pickup & you are having string imbalance problems it's probably down to a faulty pickup, the Original Ovation bridge pickup unit is usually exceptional in terms of string to string balance. Email the factory to find a local service centre or the official distributor for the Netherlands.

If your guitar is a '96 collectors edition, I seem to remember that this guitar had the Hex-fx stereo pickup/preamp system. I don't know a great deal about this pre except that the output of each string is fed to the pre separately & various combinations of strings can be panned across the stereo field. If the pre isn't adjusted properly it may explain why you have a hot E-string. It could well be the pickup at fault as I suggested, but in the original Ovation stereo preamp each set of 3 strings had a trim pot and it could be that there are individual trim-pots for each string in the Hex-fx pre. Check with the factory.

Yes, My guitar is a '96 collectors edition,
and it has the HexFX stereo pickup/preamp system. So it must be the trim-pots for the E- string.
Thanks..

I'm making an educated guess here & may well be wrong, so have it checked.

The hex fx pickup is made by shadow. It has individual crystals for each string so you can set the stereo accordingly. Six separate wires as well. It sounds like a bad pickup or the pickup isnt sitting flush on the bridge. They flex so the pressure may vary. Make sure you dont have a half ass shim uder it.
