Robert Matarazzo, one of the most unique and talented songwriters/performers I personally know, and a MASTER of looping, is performing live on the web right now. It's Wednesday, 9:25 pm New Jersey Time.

Check him out...he's AMAZING! and a great guitar player too.

Thanx! I just 'found' him the other night thanks to another recent post.

This almost leads me to think I could do something 'presentable' with a ton of 'tronics'. But then reality kicks in...

It's a REEEEALLY tricky system that he has rigged up. It took some extraordinary thinking to plan his 'system' out and get it to do what it does, and he's literally mastered it.

It's tricky to create 'drum' loops 'organically' and have them loop back exactly in time without a click track to follow. Looping is not easy in general. He uses a digital delay's repeats as a timing guide, but then bypasses the delay completely once the 'drum' track is created.

He makes it all look so easy, but it is NO easy feat.

A lot of it is just sheer experience.

He's been playing(and looping) for a LONG time . .

I remember seeing him at the LaughingLion in Dover @9-10 years ago, and he was incorporating it THEN.

He'sGood!
