Location: Scotland | Putting a mike on the outside of the guitar built into the bridge makes a lot more sense than putting one inside the guitar. The one I tried sounded much better compared to internal mikes, which I hate with a passion. I found it needed to be used sparingly, as with all mikes the feedback threshold is way below the Piezo's level, especially with stage monitors, & it tended to exagerate pick/finger noise. But a little mike mixed with the pickup added a very convincing "airiness" to the piezo sound. It was a great idea & one they maybe should have tried for more than 1 collectors edition.
