Joined: October 2008 Posts: 27 Location: florida | most meaningful line..hmm..... hard to say isnt it. i got to say neil young's verse off of comes a time album of the title tracks song "comes a time" You and I we were captured We took our souls and we flew away We were right we were giving That's how we kept what we gave away. and also a snippet from his song "dont let it bring you down" the first half of the second verse always gives me goosebumps Blind man running through the light of the night With an answer in his hand, Come on down to the river of sight And you can really understand,.... neil,bob,and townes van zandt are true inspirations so it is really hard to pinpoint just one lyric that means the most to me...but those verses have always been with me. | ||

Joined: October 2008 Posts: 27 Location: florida | pesonally, as a songwriter, the line i have written that means the most to me is probalythe song Neon Ghosts. my favorites are the 2nd 3rd and 5th lines. its about the selling out of small towns to "wall street" type big wigs who have no interests in the actual town itself and probaly have never even been there. there only interests lie in the god almighty dollar.personally i have seen the damage and recoil of corporations coming into my small town and risking the standard of living and way of life, economically, ecologically, and spiritually speaking. here it goes neon ghosts (2nd 3rd and 5th verse) men wearing neon suits brought the strip to life killing the stars at night our eyes have adjusted to the years of abuse from the artificial light men on the screen throw faces on the wall telling us to fight theyre ghosts in the shadows of the room hungering for sight the pale moon falls under the sunken hills let the morning shine the lonely call of the morning birds when the widow starts to cry later i will post the lyrics of a song i wrote about my girlfriends alcoholic father, i am not quite done with it but so far is is coming along good and means a whole lot to me. | ||
