I recently purchased a Celebrity Deluxe Doubleneck which I love but the string action seems a wee bit high (both necks) compared to other Ovations I have played. Is it possible to lower the action on this guitar without risking messing it up? I normally embrace the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" philosophy but was wondering if there is a safe way.

Thanks,
Andy

On the US-built guitars there are shims under the saddle which can be removed to lower the action, check your guitar for these and remove till you get the action where you need it. If there are no shims it may need some surgery to the saddle-slot.
