Would anyone out there possibly have the cover photo from "Alice's Restaurant" (album/CD/book/poster) that they might be able to scan and e-mail to me?

Strange request I know, but:
My guitarist and I are doing an acoustic duo gig at this little "shot n' beer' type joint on the night before Thanksgiving. I usually print up promotional flyers that the owner puts up there (and we put at local places) and I thought of "cloning" the Arlo image into two people and PhotoShopping our faces onto them to play on the Alice/Thanksgiving thing.

I've searched the net and all I can find are little, tiny lo-res jpegs from album traders and poster shops & such. Nothing useable.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Cliff,

I have Alice's Restaurant on CD. I'll try to scan it in and send it to you this weekend.

Where are you playing the night before TG? If it's in Manhattan, my wife and I may stop in and see you.

Tony

Ah! a New Yawker from Lawng Island!!

No, unfortunately my meager talents don't rate me a Big Apple venue!

We're playing at a place called The Knotty Pine (or "The Naughty Pine" as I like to refer to it) in Wharton, NJ (Morris County - about an hour from NYC). Funky, LITTLE "shot & beer" joint with a pool table and the "haute cuisine" consists of them actually putting CHEESE on your burger! Basically "unplugged" covers of rock tunes that have NO business being played on acoustic guitars, but we manage. The crowd is usually pretty "enthusiastic" and TG Eve being a traditional PARTY night, "...a pleasant time is guaranteed by all..."

Will let you know if/when we ever get in/near NYC "proper". (Know of any good LI venues with "outdoor" entertainment for next summer?)

Thanks for the pic. I appreciate it!!

Cliff,

I just e-mailed you the Alice's Restaurant picture (JPG format). Good luck at the Nov. 27 gig.
