Random quote: “Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and charm and gaiety to life and to everything.” -Plato

Hey everyone, just stopped by to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving!

I need to remind myself that tomorrow is more than just a rationale for over-indulgence (which is a good thing ;) ), but moreover a time to be thankful for all that I have been blessed with.

I am truly blessed by the love of a wonderful family. I am thankful for a country that affords me not only the privledge, but the right, to pursue life, liberty, and happiness, and to provide for my loved ones the opportunity for a life unrivaled and unattainable anywhere else in the world!

I thank God for this country, and pray his continued providence over it. I am thankful to those who gave all, and those who are ready and willing to give their full measure at a moments notice, that allow me to sit by a fire, on the land that I own, and pluck whatever I want to pluck on my Legend(or whatever Ovation I choose to own ;) ), or to be sitting at my computer and be writing this very post.

To all you who make this country great, I give my thanks. And to all of us who have the power and ability to defend, sustain, and help this nation grow, I join with you in spirit, prayer, and action.

God Bless America!(and the UK!)

Amen, and a thought from all of us exiled northeners who are in these more temperate climes. No matter how sophisticated I think I am getting, this time of the year my mind keeps hearing a bunch of 6th graders in Ohio in the winter singing "Over the river and through the woods, to grandmother's house we go", the Galiekowski twin girls (from an immigrant family with 14 kids who left Europe in the 30's so they could have a Thanksgiving) could sing it like girl Everly brothers, and one time the snow was so deep the school sent around a horse drawn covered sleigh to take us to school, and the horses had bells on their collars that jingled like in the song. Winter with real snow is what we left to get away from, but it was a big part of growing up in Ohio. So happy Thanksgiving and throw a few snowballs for us exiles.
