Hello everyone. I was looking at an old Glen Campbell Ovation on ebay and noticed the shape of the bridge. Can anyone tell me how long this bridge shape lasted? Was it on all early Ovations? Were there any other bridge shapes beside the current ones? Thanks...Paul Hebert

Paul,

While your waiting for an answer, do a search under general posting for “Shiny Bowl question” That should help a little.

There have been three bridge shapes so far on the regular ovation line. The adamas had the carved bridge which had a different shape. There was the thunderbolt bridge and now the tangent bridge..The early bridges were:

1966-1968, five point brazilain rosewood bridge
1968 -1970, second generation bridge(thinner outer wings)
1970 -current ,standard bridge(wider outer wings)
