Just watched the Band's "Last Waltz" for the first time in maybe 20 years on TV tonight. I'd forgotten how great a movie it is. Anyway there's a section with Neil Diamond playing a Custom Legend (which didn't appear to be plugged-in) I've seen a few Custom Legends like his, with no carving on the bridge or rod-cover but inlaid MOP or abalone diamonds instead. McCartney's were like this & maybe Joan Armatrading's. Was this an "artist" thing or has anyone seen or owned a production version?

Paul,

I have a picture in an old magazine of Glen Campbell (circa 1976) playing a Custom Legend like the ones you describe. My guess (and it's only a guess) is that it might be a prototype. And if memory serves, it appeared to have a standard (non abalone)rosette. I, too, would be interested to know more about these guitars!

Happy New Year to all!!

Jeff
