| For some odd reason, my 12 string came home today. It wasn't supposed to be due until late February. It was just what I expected; sounds great and beautiful.
This is my first 12 string. When I tune it to E, it doesn't seem to stay in tune. Does this happen to all 12 strings? Do I keep it tuned to E or should I tune it down?
Thanks in advance |

Did you just get it or did it just come back from repair? New strings? Was it shipped to you and was it out in the cold for a while?
Just a WAG, but I would just give it a little time to adjust to home.
As for tuining, I've had a Glen Campbell 12-string since 1974 and have always tuned it to E without any problems (always light gauge strings). I know others buy medium strings and then tune it down a whole step. I do believe they are built to be tuned to E.
Have fun with your 12 string.

| I just purchased it, brand new. When I tune it to E, after a little while in the case it turns a little flat. I guess its just the new strings.
Thanks Bradley |
