Location: puerto vallarta, mexico | sorry to have been unplugged for so long. the hurricane really put me behind, followed by my son's wedding here. lots of gigs lately---19 out of the last 20 days. the ovations are doing great, and ive discovered a few ukII tricks i'll pass on in the next few days. all the best to all of my amigos on this site, and a prosperous, music filled new year to you all. |

You've given new meaning to the word unplugged.
Don't stay gone so long. |

Location: puerto vallarta, mexico | hey bill!!
i am going to make sure i stay plugged in to the ofc site at least every few days now that the hurricane and the wedding are behind us. i'm not sure which caused the most emotional strain and financial damage yet.
all of the great guitars i have now, a few thanks to you amigo, have really fired me up. i have some sort of a gig every day of the week and on tues and thurs two! i wouldn't have believed just how much of a difference excellent guitars can make in fueling the interest and unlocking those undiscovered licks that were trapped in these aging fingers. if i could pass on a piece of advice to the younger musicians on this site it would be----forego a few of the things in life you can really do without and buy the very best guitar (ovation of course) you can. you will never be sorry, and it just might change your life.
what would be your reccommendation for a ss shallow cutaway 6 string? i play my 83 collectors that had (it's electronics removed when i bought it) for our practices, and really like how it "fits". i'd like to find something similar i can plug in and don't think the 83 is in good enough condition to re wire it. any suggestons would be appreciated. |
