As I have been playing the snot out of my 1117 Legend, I recently noticed that the fret board is raising or seperating right at the sound hole. On the Low E side of the soundhole, and along the rosette, and going about 3/4 inches toward the center of the soundhole, the fret board is seperated about1/16th of an inch. On the opposite side of the soundhole, I had previously repaired a crack in the rosette, and a slight seperation from the fretboard. In the previous case, I used an epoxy glue, because I was dealing mainly with the rosette, but with the current seperation, I am not sure what to do/use.

Elmers wood glue? Epoxy? Leave it alone?

The board still appears to be adhered well in the center of the fretboard, but both ends seem to be raising a little.

Any suggestions?

Also, I removed a shim from under the saddle on my Legend due to the action seeming a little higher. Is it possible that this could effect the richness of the sound I get, or is it just in my head?

Thanks again.

epoxy to hold the board down.Although the epoxy may not adhear the the finish under the f/b .
removing the shim brings the saddle in contact with the wood maybe thats what your hearing to be different.Just a WAG...

Lower action means less sound. Higher action gives a better sound, possibly because it increases the string angle over the bridge. The ideal is a balance in the middle.
