Location: Vacaville, CA USA | Ordered a Left-Handed LCS-247 July 31,2002 and was told 90 days for delivery. After waiting for that period of time I was told they were back ordered and 24 were being made for delivery starting with 6 in Dec, with a Dec 6 ship date. Dec. 6 comes and goes. Another call put into Ovation rep. Guitars just cleared Customs, would be shipped Dec. 17. Called Ovation rep today (Jan. 2, 2003), guitar still had not been shipped, I canceled my order.
Is this any way to do business? If they had told me it would be 6 - 8 months I could have handled that, but to continually give me false ship dates just upset me. I am sure another guitar company would be more than happy to accept my cash for a guitar.

Location: NJ | well it is not just Ovation. I deal with a company that has had trouble getting their instruments ever since the infamous dock strike in CA, which you are probably aware of. In fact he missed the whole Christmas season with 3 containers of guitars and boy is his angry.
From what I can tell that dock strike messed up many vendors and that may be the core of your problem. |

Location: NJ | The whole problem would've been avoided by ordering a left-handed USA model (and youd've gotten a better instrument).
IMHO, the "aggravation factor" alone is worth the extra bread! |
