The luthier who helped me with my Ovation consented to let me (with his patterns, jigs & a little direction) build my own electric in his shop. I am elated. I will shortly endeavor this. I chose a Les Paul body pattern. I will not take the time for a carved top...it will be a mahogony flat top with a bookmatched Mahogany crotch veneer surface. I haven't decided on the neck/fretboard. Any suggestions for pickups? He likes Seymor-Duncans.
Regards, KD
