Hello all,

I have a server on the web, and I just added a page that will be following my restorations of some of the Ovation Collector Editions that I have acquired. Right now in restoration are 2 of the 1986 Collector guitars. Visit the site at:

http://www.overacker.com/ovationrestoration.htm

It is going to be fun, and a pain, I am sure.

If they play and sound good, that would be an achievement, if they look good, even better. Good Site!

Thanks for the good wishes everyone. I have found the black metallic for the 86 Collector necks, but the white metallic for the top was a bit more elusive. I asked about it at my paint supplier and they thought I was nuts. Anyway, they came up with a nice white metallic pearl that should do okay. I hope to spray them soon. Keep looking to the site for updates. I also started working on restoring a 1983 Collector. The '83 is in better shape than the '86s.

Photogazer, I have a 1990 Custom Balladeer that is white. Is it the same color as the guitar you are working on? Sure looks like it. I was wondering how many models Ovation offered in the white. Mine also has a black neck and headstock...Paul Hebert
