Location: Phoenix AZ | I was flipping channels Sat night and came across a show "Wings: History of the Helicopter" on the Discovery Channel. Nice segment on Charlie Kaman with lots of old photos and film clips. No reference that he went on to invent the world's finest guitars. Dave |

Thank you.
I missed that and I'll watch for it's rebroadcast, as an early helicopter person I look for those kinds of programs.
I went to the Sikorsky plant when Igor Sikorsky was still there courtesy of the US Army, and visited the Piasecky plant in Philly when he was still there, Kaman demonstrated some helicopters while I was stationed at the the Transportation Post at Ft Eustis VA, but I never saw Mr Kaman.

Location: NJ | On the way home from Block Island this weekend, I was driving on I-95 South through CT (Norwalk?) and saw from the highway the "Helicopter Museum". I was tempted to pull off and check it out, but it was late Sunday afternoon and I had ". . miles to go before I slept . .". Another time. |
